Although we are including three different
alternatives for our birding trips at El Yunque, this
could change from time to time due to COVID-19
restrictions.  Please email us before booking to
make sure that the birding trip will be available.

When you book a birding trip to El Yunque, you will
let us know if you want a private trips or if you want
to share.  Since our permits are for a minimum of
four people,
private trips require the payment for
the four birding spots.  Henceforth, either if you are
a solo traveler or have a group of four participants,
the price of the trip is the same.

This principle applies to
bird photography, all
bird photography trips, either half or full day, are
considered private birding birding trips.  We
use other routes for this type of activity.

On-demand birding trips are those where you
will like to share the trip with other birders.
These
are not bird photography trips
. You choose the
date of a half-day or a full day birding trip and we
open the date for other birders that will like to join
you.  A
non-refundable payment
for one person will be required as the minimum for
this type of trip is two people.  If the minimum is not
reached, you will be required to pay for the
minimum of two people.  If you are joining
a preexisting on-demand birding trip, the
departure time has been chosen by the original
booking party.  This type of trip will be announce
as a SHARED/PUBLIC/OPEN birding trip.

Public events are those scheduled on a specific
date as an special offer or that the logistics allows
us to offer it as such.  These public events require a
minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10.
You meet your guide on site.
If you need transfers, please as for quote.

Due to the number of people visiting El Yunque National Forest during the Holy Week/Weekend (Wednesday through Sunday, including
Good Friday and Easter) and the
month of July, we DO NOT OFFER tours to El Yunque other than the Night Hike and/or
Ancestral Areyto.  Access to the Forest is limited and we cannot guarantee the quality during those days.
El Yunque is closed on December 25th.
"Hilda is great. She knows her
birds and her calls. She moves
at a different pace than the
typical guide, working deliberate
and meticulous to get your target
birds. During
our outing I was
able to pick up a dozen lifers
including the PR Lizard Cuckoo,
Oriole, and
Tanager.   In addition,
Hilda put me on a spot
to get the
PR Screech Owl the following day."

With the new booking system used by Forest
Service, it is easier to go to the lower level of the
Forest as reservations are not needed.  As a
company with special permits to do business at
the Forest, we also need to make reservations,
that is why we ask for two weeks for the upper
level bookings.

We recommend to contact us on the phone first
to
discuss your best option.  We are available
from Monday through Friday,
2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
